File Upload/Download Issues

Issues related to upload and/or download of files

Introduction

The Belfius Connector is used to securly upload/download files in bulk, and to manage files from a secured sandbox.

As shared drives, or mapped folders are used for the solution the following issues can happen

Mapped Folder is NOT available on the System

When a already mapped folder is not available on the system due to a missing conenction (for example as VPN connection that is not enabled, or a network drive that is not attached). The Belfius Connector versions prior to 3.7.17 will crash without recovering automatically.

This means that you need to follow those step to restart the connector in a correct way:

  1. make sure the VPN connection or shared drive is mapped

  2. restart the Belfius Connector

To restart the Belfius Connector, go to 'Program files' > 'BelfiusConnector' and double click on the EXE: t1c-launch.

The connector performs a forced restart or a new start after being stopped.

The File Upload/Download is NOT working and the 'file-exchange.json' file is MISSING

When the file-exchagne.json is missing from you personal folder, the file upload/download will not work.

You can verify if the file is present by opening a Windows Explorer, and going to the User's Belfius Connector folder.

You can do this by entering '%localappadata%' in the Explorer address bar:

Now you will see a list of folder, choose 'Belfius Connector'. Verify that the file 'file-exchange.json' EXISTS:

If this is not the case, download the following file:

Alternativly you can create a new file with that EXACT name, and add the following text in it:

{"entities":[]}

No restart is needed, go back to Belfius Web, and re-initialize your folders (this can be found under the menu 'Administration').

The folders should be re-initialized and working correctly.
